What We Do
Kimberley Aquaculture Aboriginal Corporation (KAAC) is a non-profit organisation which provides support to Indigenous people of the Kimberley region to develop sustainable aquaculture enterprises; undertake employment, skills and capacity development; and achieve this through cultural outreach projects.
What We're About
KAAC's core vision is concerned with improving the wellbeing - economic, social as well as cultural - of Indigenous people of the Kimberley through aquaculture.
As a group, Indigenous people in the Kimberley experience significant social and economic disadvantage as compared to the non-Indigenous population. The maintenance of Indigenous culture in the Kimberley has only been achieved through significant determination and struggle.
The primary measure of KAAC's success as an organisation is the extent to which it contributes to the wellbeing of Indigenous people in the Kimberley region.

My Story
| "I want to help my family grow their own aquaculture business to gain financial independence, create jobs and work on their own country. KAAC has supported us by providing project, technical and licensing advice, putting us in touch with organisations which can assist us, helping us access volunteers, and helping me develop my skills." - Rueben Lee Chi |
